About Queer X Events
Queer X Events is a grassroots collective dedicated to the radical practice of queer space-making. Founded by the artist behind the Ex Corpse Art Collective, we operate on a simple, transformative question: What happens when we insert drag queens, kings, and queer bodies into creative worlds and futures that have historically excluded us?
We believe the world is incomplete without us. Our mission is to move beyond passive representation. We operate on the belief that "queer-coded" characters of mainstream media are not enough. We actively construct vibrant, living ecosystems where queer, trans, nonbinary, and asexual joy is the dominant force.
Our Philosophy
Our events are not just parties; they are immersive acts of worldbuilding. Drawing from a decade of artistic practice in experimental, speculative, and futuristic visions, we transform venues into magical realms, futuristic cities, and dystopian Earths where our communities can thrive. Whether through a drag show that subverts the heteronormativity of a cyberpunk festival or a music video navigating queer surrealism, we are constantly asking: Are these worlds complete without us? The answer is no. So we build them ourselves.

What We Do
Queer X Events creates platforms for rising talent that has not yet broken into commercial spaces. We prioritize emerging artists, providing them with professional production, compensation, a professional network, new friends, and a stage that honors their labor.
Think of our drag shows as immersive portals into alternate realities. Each show is built around a specific speculative narrative. This can be a cyberpunk dystopia, a magical realm, or a post-apocalyptic utopia that serves as the stage for radical gender exploration. Performers are invited to step into these worlds, embodying characters that transcend binary constraints and challenge the heteronormative scripts of traditional drag.
By merging high-concept worldbuilding with the visceral energy of live performance, we create a space where gender is fluid, costumes are armor, and the act of being seen becomes an act of resistance. Here, the audience doesn't just watch a show; they inhabit a future where queerness is the default.

Queer Band Night

We are excited to announce that we will soon be hosting a queer band night! This will be a curated convergence of underground queer musicians who treat sound as a medium for world-building. These nights move beyond standard genre classifications, featuring artists who weave surrealism, noise, folk, and electronic textures into a sonic landscape that mirrors the complexity of queer existence.
The lineup will be carefully selected to navigate the intersection of sound, identity, and the avant-garde, offering a platform for artists who are redefining what "queer music" can sound like. From lyrics that deconstruct the self to melodies that evoke dreamlike futures, these performances transform the venue into a resonant chamber where the community can hear their own stories amplified, distorted, and celebrated in real-time.
Indie Night
While our flagship events center the voices of queer, trans, and nonbinary artists, Indie Night expands the circle of our world-building to include allies whose art embodies the spirit of Queer X Events.
Indie Night is a curated band night for independent musicians who may not identify as queer, but whose work exemplifies our core values: radical inclusivity, experimental storytelling, and the subversion of the mainstream. We believe that the fight for space and the joy of creation are not exclusive to one identity; they are a shared language spoken by artists who dare to imagine different futures.
Think of Indie Night as a sonic extension of our speculative universe. We are looking for sounds that are raw, authentic, and unapologetically human. Whether it's a punk band dismantling norms, an indie-folk duo singing about chosen family, or an electronic producer weaving surreal textures, these artists are invited to bring their unique vision to our stage.
Why do we host a non queer indie band night? In a world that often silences marginalized voices, we believe in amplifying those who stand with us. Indie Night creates a bridge between the queer underground and the broader indie scene, fostering a community where art is the common ground and rising talent gets seen.

Join the World Making

Because we believe that creative worldbuilding is an act of resistance. Our events invite the community to participate in the creation of a new future. Currently, we are in the process of formalizing our status as a 501c non-profit. Until then, we operate as a community-driven entity fueled by passion, mutual aid, and the urgent need to create safe, celebratory spaces for our people.
